Overview
Will earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University in 2014 and immediately enrolled at the Michigan State University College of Law. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2017.
In law school, Will served under several employers, including governmental entities – state and local – and nonprofit organizations. Such experience included a clerkship under the State of Michigan Tax Tribunal and an externship with the Prima Civitas Foundation (a 501(c)(3) economic and community development organization). Will also participated in multiple internships that allowed him to review legislation impacting Michigan’s retirement systems, prosecute criminal matters, and conduct extensive research on a broad range of civil and criminal legal issues.
In addition to his coursework, Will honed his written advocacy skills as a managing editor of the Michigan State University Law Review, the school’s flagship journal. He also volunteered with the Michigan State University Investor Advocacy Clinic (where he represented clients pursuing FINRA arbitration claims) and Michigan Legal Help as a Live Help Agent. Will was a founding member of the Michigan State College of Law’s Economics and Law Student Association and acted as a student representative to the State Bar of Michigan.
After being admitted to practice, Will spent the first year after law school working as a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals. He then served for two years as a judicial term clerk under the Honorable Justice Brian K. Zahra of the Michigan Supreme Court. In those roles, Will contributed to crafting novel solutions facing an expansive array of practice areas. Will brings to the private sector a devotion to justice and an aspiration toward excellence that years of public service have left instilled.
As an associate attorney at Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, Will represents a variety of businesses and individuals in commercial litigation, business and corporate transactions, and municipal matters.
