John Gaber and Rick Rattner Present at ICSC Educational Program
On February 13, 2020, WWRP partners John D. Gaber and Richard D. Rattner presented “Your Zoning Toolbox: Why Use a PUD When a Conditional Rezoning Will Work?” at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Michigan Continuing Education Program. The presentation addressed conditional rezonings, planned unit developments and other trends in real estate zoning law, after which John and Rick facilitated roundtable discussions with attendees.
The International Council of Shopping Centers is a 70,000-member association of professionals in the retail real estate industry. Besides educational symposiums and conferences, ICSC hosts hundreds of networking events around the world each year and builds relationships with decision-makers in the public sector to help shape public policy affecting the retail real estate space.
John Gaber has extensive experience in real estate, corporate, general business, and commercial law, and concentrates on real property acquisition, development, land use, zoning, construction, financing, and leasing matters. Richard Rattner has more than thirty years of experience in real estate law, focusing on real estate acquisition, sale and loan transactions, land use development, zoning, and corporate law. In 2017, he was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, an elite, invitation-only group that represents the finest attorneys in the profession, and in 2019, Michigan Lawyers Weekly named him to its list of “Leaders in the Law.”
