R. Jamison Williams, Jr. recieves Chambers USA 2010 "Leader in the Field" award
R. Jamison Williams, Jr., the President of Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett P.C., in Birmingham, has been recognized as a "Leader in the Field" of Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law by Chambers USA 2010. Chambers and Partners, based in London, publishes annual directories that recognize the world's leading lawyers.
Mr. Williams concentrates his law practice in the areas of corporate law and mergers & acquisitions law. In 2009, The M&A Advisor named Mr. Williams as the "Dealmaker of the Year" in Cross-Border (European / American) Transactions. He was also recognized by Crain's Detroit Business as a finalist in the "Dealmaker of the Year" category in the 2008 Crain's M&A Awards.
Mr. Williams is actively involved in local community affairs. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Michigan Opera Theater and serves on the Board of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and in the recent past, on the Boards of Trustees of the Cranbrook Educational Community, Beaumont Hospital and the Center fro Hearing Disorders at the University of Michigan. He is also a Director of several private foundations and a number of companies, including Penske Corporation.
Mr. Williams is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Michigan Law School.
