Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, P.C., in Birmingham, Michigan, announces the addition of the following attorneys:
Michael W. Benoit has been named a shareholder of the firm. Mr. Benoit has broad experience in a number of corporate and transactional areas, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of commercial and residential real property; land use, zoning and other governmental approvals; platting subdivisions and establishing condominium and condominium conversion projects; entity selection; corporate finance, corporate governance and general corporate law; and representing lenders in connection with business and real estate loans. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Benoit served as the Director of Land Acquisitions and Development and regional legal counsel for a national homebuilder. He received his B.A. from Michigan State University, cum laude, in 1994 and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1997.
Donna Marie Medina, formerly Of Counsel, has been named an associate of the firm. Ms. Medina's practice is focused on litigation, including personal injury; products liability; medical malpractice and general tort claims; family law; probate and estate administration; and civil and criminal appeals. Ms. Medina worked as a paralegal for 20 years prior to entering law school. The American Society of Woman Accountants recognized Ms. Medina with both its First Place Michigan and National Scholarship awards. Ms. Medina received her B.S.B.A. (Accounting) from Wayne State University, summa cum laude, in 1986 and her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1990.
May A. Saad has been named an associate of the firm. Ms. Saad focuses her law practice on a wide range of legal areas including commercial litigation; immigration and international law; family law; and corporate and real estate transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Saad served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Gerald E. Rosen in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Ms. Saad speaks both Arabic and French fluently. She received her B.A. from Filière Francophone de Droit in 2003 and her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 2010.
